Yes he did, in a "spiritual way", .....(the idea???),..to scare the HELL (pun intended) out of NON-BELIEVERS,...TO MAKE SURE THEY TOW THE LINE OR ELSE THEY WILL ALSO BE DESTROYED.

Disfellowshipping resended? Anybody ever heard of it?
by zugzwang insometime last year, around september or october, i was apparently disfellowshipped.
i say "apparently" because i never heard the announcement.
i faded years ago and haven't been to a meeting in years.

An ELDER at our cong was mistakenly DF'd in place of his son, ....so they had to unDF him,...and then DF the son,....and then DELETE him from ELDER to an average JW.....

What if regular meeting attendance wasn't a requirement?
by R.F. inwe all know how regular meeting attendance is the ultimate way of measuring the "faith" of those among the religion, other than field service reports.
what do you think would happen with the attendance numbers if you were only encouraged to go as a sort of option, if you weren't hounded for not attending regularly?

by Dubby ini admire the jw's who seem to be not too affected by what the society teaches.
for instance; my brother became a jw when he met his wife, who was born into the wts.
his wife and her family, always seemed to be very gregarious people, and enjoy life very much.

"The dark ages" religious rulership set us back 1,000 years!!

something like this happened in the dark ages when science was banned by religion and the inqisition.
anyone coming up with "crazy" theories like the earth revolves aroung the sun faced death and science stalled for nearly 1,000 years.

Thoughts on the 2012 theory?!
by ZeusZero inwhat are your thoughts on the 2012 theory regarding the end of the world.
we have read recently about the financial crisis being an early sign of this end.
